Katelyn Cresta, D.C., received a bachelor of science undergraduate degree in human physiology in 2014 and a doctorate in chiropractic from Palmer College of Chiropractic West in 2017. Her interest in chiropractic sports medicine has led her to pursue post-graduate studies to qualify her as a Certified Chiropractic Sports Physician (CCSP), Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS), and become a certified provider in Graston Technique.
Dr. Cresta’s choice to become a physician was rooted in her career as a young, competitive gymnast. The nature of gymnastics first introduced her to human movement and its effect on athletic performance. Years of gymnastics taught perseverance, discipline and precision, movement analysis and coordination dynamics. Dr. Cresta’s training and experience as a former athlete inspires her to better understand the mechanics of athletic injuries and physical rehabilitation.
The ability to quickly establish trust with a patient is particularly important to Dr. Cresta. To her, the root of good health starts with a strong doctor-patient relationship. “I approach treatment as a collaborative effort with my patientsand their care.” Dr. Cresta strives to explain the nature of injuries and treatment in language that her patients understand and can take part in. “I enjoy getting to know my patients and respect their individual challenges. It is truly gratifying to see patients resume activities that were initially lost due to injury. It is the ultimate reward and I derive great joy from helping my patients restore function to its maximum potential.”
Dr. Cresta is a Bay Area native and is very excited to care for her community. As a Doctor of Chiropractic at Health Logic, she feels privileged to have the opportunity to work with a team who is focused on the mutual goal of providing the highest quality care possible for their patients.
